Currently the subsoil mulcher is available in three sizes ranging - 1.6m, 1.8m and 2.13m with a choice of two different rotors for processing material. Our applications experts are available to assist you in choosing a width and rotor combination, but as a general rule, the smallest unit is best for tool carriers on the lower end of our required performance spectrum while the largest unit is reserved for those on the highest end of the spectrum with the mid-sized unit being a good balance in-between.
As with any ground-engaging attachment, the more surface area that must work through the soil, the higher horsepower and hydraulic flow is required. This power requirement is not linear, but rather logarithmic, meaning that with a wider rotor, a substantial bump in performance is required from the tool carrier that drives it. Using a wider rotor on a lower powered machine will limit the depth of mulching achievable and the general efficiency of the processing work.

UNIVERSAL ROTORS
The universal rotor is more versatile and suitable for a wide range of tasks, including mulching, grinding, and conditioning soil in various applications such as land clearing and landscaping. It features fixed-tooth, non-replaceable blades or teeth that can handle lighter materials like brush, small trees, and vegetation, making it an all-around tool for diverse environments. The universal rotors on the Coneteks Subsoil Mulchers are designed to work efficiently with various types of ground material and vegetation. The universal rotor leaves a finer finish and, depending on soil conditions, can mulch below grade up to 15 cm.
